#10 is a small, owner-led agency. We design and build Shopify stores and WordPress sites, and then we stay to run them. We’ve been doing this since 2000, for around 100 clients, and some of them have been with us for more than a decade.

How we work: listen, absorb, suggest, build

We listen first, and we ask a lot of questions. We absorb how your business actually works, not just what the brief says. Then we suggest what we’d do and in what order. Then we build it.

The win is yours. Our job is to set it up.

Who you work with

Tom leads every project. Behind him is a bench of senior designers, developers and writers we’ve worked with for years. The person you talk to is the person doing the work.

Tom Tsatsos, director

Tom started #10 in 2000. He has led ecommerce and web projects for retail, fashion, food, medical technology, education, manufacturing and government clients, and he still runs every project himself.

Before #10 he held management roles at Toyota’s Internet Software Group and at MIC, a Japanese semiconductor equipment maker. He has a mechanical engineering degree from Purdue and an MBA from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. He has lived in the Czech Republic, Japan and Mexico. He speaks Japanese and conversational Spanish. He can order a beer in a few more languages.

Since 2000

  • 2000. We started in San Francisco’s Financial District, making rich media for sports teams in Macromedia Flash.
  • 2003. We became a web design agency and moved to SoMa, where we stayed for ten years.
  • 2004. Our first international ecommerce project, for I-O Data, a Japanese electronics brand.
  • 2006. Large-scale ecommerce for American Stationery, with greeting card previews that matched the printed card.
  • 2008. One of the first Magento partners. We built stores across sports, education, gaming, music and manufacturing.
  • 2014. Custom web applications for education, recruiting, law and real estate.
  • 2016. We built McEvoy Ranch’s store on Magento. In 2020 we moved it to Shopify Plus, and we still run it.
  • 2022. Fully remote. We’re based in Palo Alto and work with clients around the world.
  • 2024. AI went into how we work: first drafts, reports, data cleanup and search. A person still reviews everything that goes out.
