WordPress · Custom and theme-based builds
Sites built once, not patched forever.
- Starts at
- $10,000 theme-based · $18,000 fully custom
- Typical timeline
- 6–10 weeks · 10–16 weeks
We design and build WordPress sites for companies, schools and organizations that need a site their own staff can edit. You get a finished site and the design behind it, from a team that stays around after launch. We have been building websites since 2000.
What’s included
- Design. Every build includes design. You see key pages before we write code. You sign off before we build.
- Theme-based or fully custom. A theme-based build starts from a well-made theme and adapts it to your brand. A fully custom build is designed and coded from scratch for you.
- Editing that makes sense. We set up page layouts so your team can change text and images without breaking anything.
- Content migration. We move your existing pages and posts into the new site and set up redirects for old addresses.
- Search basics. Page titles, descriptions, clean URLs and a sitemap are ready before launch.
- Launch and handoff. We test on real devices. Then we launch and show your team how the site works.
How a project runs
We listen first. Then we absorb your content and your customers. Then we suggest a structure, and only after that do we build. The person you talk to at the start does the work. Specialists join when the project needs them.
Pricing and timeline
Theme-based builds start at $10,000 and take 6 to 10 weeks. Fully custom builds start at $18,000 and take 10 to 16 weeks.
The price moves with the number of unique page templates, integrations with other systems (CRM, payments, member logins), how much content we migrate, and whether you need more than one language. We quote a fixed price after a short conversation about scope.
Proof
We have run Marubeni’s tech-led.com on WordPress since 2007. We built zeek.org for the Zeek open-source project and look after it. We redesigned the Yew Chung International School (YCIS) site in Silicon Valley. We also developed a WordPress site for Accela, a government software company.
Questions people ask
How much does a WordPress site cost?
Theme-based sites start at $10,000. Fully custom sites start at $18,000. Both include design. The final figure depends on templates, integrations and content, and we give you a fixed quote before work starts.
Should we use a theme or go fully custom?
If your needs are fairly standard, a theme-based build gets you there faster and for less. If your layout, brand or features are unusual, custom is cleaner. We will tell you which one we think fits, and why.
Who owns the site when it’s done?
You do. You hold the domain and the hosting account. If you want help afterward, we offer monthly maintenance, but you are never locked in.
What do you need from us?
Your logo, brand colors and existing content, plus one person who can make decisions. We handle the rest. We will tell you early if something is missing.
What happens after launch?
After launch you can manage the site yourselves or put it on a maintenance plan. We have kept some client sites for many years, so we build with long-term care in mind.
